We lit up the halibut again this morning. We had the 3 client fish and one for the skipper in about an hour and a half first thing this morning. We had one dogfish, a petrale sole, and one other butt that came off half way up to add to the excitement. They really bit the Redwood Coast Spreader Bar – Godfather Rig http://www.redwoodcoastspreaderbars.com/category_s/1825.htm good today tipped with tuna bellies and herring. When we got cleaned up we went looking for some salmon and found some biters right away. We lost several but the ones that made the box were a nice grade with the biggest 2 right around 18 or 19 lbs. They came mostly 120 on the downriggers on hotspot/hoochies. The gear further up only got silvers. We had quite a few of them today to keep us on our toes. The salmon were north of the jaws a couple miles at 38-42 fathoms and the halibut came off the stacks in 57 fathoms. I’ll be back on the water at the end of the week and still have some space for Friday and the whole boat open for Monday.
