The big news around here lately has been the arrival of our son, Henry Theophil Schmidt, born on Saturday 1/23 @ 139 pm. He went 8 lbs 1 oz and is a 20 incher keeper. Preparations for fishing this season are still underway around here and there are more surprised to come before I hit the water full time this spring. I have made some new additions to the rod and reel department with more new Seeker rods and new Penn Squall 15s loaded with 50 lbs braid for our fisheries where sensitivity counts. We will be using them later today on the big outflow tide looking for sturgeon around the bay.
